Students in grades K+ - 5th Grade experienced an amazing music program presented by Alma Brasileira! This performing duet featured the Brazilian recorder, guitar, and cavaquinho They performed a wide variety of music from Brazil, including traditional folk music and original compositions. This concert was made possible by MPR Class Notes School Concerts.
Due to the weather and potential for icy and snowy roads LCWM will be two hours late today, March 26, 2024. No AM Preschool.
These wonderful ladies made a lot of popcorn today!
Today the elementary school had a school-wide PBIS Carnival! Students walked around the school and participated in fun activities like Bingo, Tattoos, Face Painting, Popcorn, Perler Beads, and much more! Some rooms even had prizes!

February's Super Knights are Zaila Manderfield and Elijah Madison! These lucky students received some awesome prizes thanks to Jason Lieske Insurance Agency and Radio Mankato!

The K-1 Spring Music Concert, "Happy Trails", was on Thursday, March 7th, and was a great fit for our Western theme! Lots of cowboy hats and funny cowboy jokes! Thank you Mrs. Steinberg for all your hard work in planning this awesome music concert!! Also, thank you to Mrs. Nelson for putting on another wonderful Art Show!

February is Minnesota School Board Recognition Month. At our meeting Tuesday evening, the Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial School District recognized our Board members who selflessly give their time and energy in support of high-quality public schooling for our youth. School board members in our District are entrusted by this community with responsibility!
School boards are charged with making decisions that can sometimes be quite difficult or require sifting through a great deal of information. They also bear responsibility for developing a vision that will guide the school district for years to come. Through collaboration as a team, and with school district staff, their governance and advocacy are building the future of education in Minnesota.
We’re encouraging all members of the community to thank a board member. Please thank them for their time and playing a critical civic role that helps form the bedrock of our democracy — public education. As a crucial bridge between the local community and the school district, their efforts are instrumental in helping all of us realize the hopes and dreams we have for the children of our community.

Book fair dress-up days for next week.
4th and 5th-grade students were given the opportunity to participate in a Chess Club every other Monday during recess, and every Thursday after school. We had quite a turnout of interested students!
