We are so excited to see all these smiling faces back in the building! It’s been a great start to the school year so far!

High school Student Council members greeted students as they arrived, classes met as whole groups to kick off the year, and there has already been plenty of learning and reconnecting throughout the halls.

Here’s to a great 2026–27 school year, Knights!

School districts across the State of Minnesota, including LCWM Schools are facing budget reductions going into the 2026-2027 school year. Despite the previous reductions of nearly $500,000 in expenditures, LCWM continues to grapple with long-term budget impacts.Throughout the budget reduction process, our administrators have established areas where there is overspending. Cuts have been made to classroom budgets and cuts have also been made through attrition. Use your phone’s camera to scan the code to the right and learn more about the referendum.
The bus route times are posted into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal! In the transportation tab, it should say "Effective: 9/03/2026". If yours is not updated, please send an email with your information to info@isd2071.org and we will pass it on to the bus company.
These times are approximate and could vary by a few minutes each way, especially to start the year so please plan accordingly. We appreciate your patience especially to start the year!

Last week a few of our teachers attended the Elevate Your Classroom Conference in Las Vegas, where they learned alongside educators from across the country and gathered new ideas to enhance student learning.

Throughout the conference, teachers were inspired by keynote speakers including Ron Clark, Mr. Greg, Taylor Cassidy, and Gerry Brooks, who share powerful messages about student engagement, relationship-building, inclusive classrooms, and the joy of teaching.

Teachers also participated in breakout sessions focused on literacy, writing, mathematics, science, classroom management, STEM, technology and AI, and social-emotional learning. Each session provided practical, research-based strategies and classroom-ready resources that can be implemented immediately.

They look forward to bringing these new ideas back to the classrooms as they continue to provide engaging, high-quality learning experiences for all of our students!
