This morning secondary students heard from motivational speaker Austin Lanier who encouraged students to embrace their unique identity, never give up during difficult times, and make the right decisions in order to turn their dreams into reality just like he did. His three points were:
1. Write your dreams down.
2. Seperate yourself from people who won't help you accomplish your dream.
3. Surround yourself with the right people, especially mentors.
After he shared, he performed for students then took time to take selfies and talk to students if they wanted to share something.

Those of you who vote by mail have likely received your ballots in the mail, or will be soon if you haven't!!
If you live within the LCWM district, you will see two questions on your ballot. Question 1 is asking to RENEW the Technology Levy and question 2 is to RENEW the operating referendum. Please see the flyers with information about the "why's" and the tax impact for property owners with the renewal of these items. As it's currently estimated, it is showing no change in impact to property owners. There are graphs on page two of the flyer showing what the estimated impact would be as well as what some of our surrounding districts' impacts are to their taxpayers. LCWM's is minimal in comparison to those around us, and as stated earlier, not increasing.
In short, the questions are to simply CONTINUE our operating referendum and technology levy as we have been doing.
If you need more clarification or have any questions on this, please reach out to Superintendent, Mark Westerburg or any of our school board members!
