
Due to the weather and potential for icy and snowy roads LCWM will be two hours late today, March 26, 2024. No AM Preschool.

On Monday evening, students showcased their science fair projects to members of the school board, gearing up for the state competition set for today!
Topics they are presenting on include studies on algae growth in area lakes and how it can be used for beneficial purposes, an in depth look at the Tesla turbine, Gluten vs. wheat in cooking, a robot programmed to play the game of chess, and more!
Thank you to Mrs. Moeller and Mr. VanGenderen for working with these students and providing these experiences! We look forward to finding out the results on Sunday!

The LCWM Robotics team came home with the People's Choice "Wonderfully Wacky" Award from the Engineering Machine Design Competition today! Their team will advance to regionals in Rochester on April 19.


Happy Pi Day from the LCWM Secondary School!
HS students are out discovering pi by measuring the circumference and diameter of circles around the school and the JH students are learning the digits of pi by playing an exciting card game.






On Tuesday, March 12, the LCWM Concert Choir participated in the Subsection Choir Contest at MCW High School. The choir performed some challenging and beautiful music, and earned an Excellent rating! Freshman choir member, Grace, accompanied one of the choir pieces on piano.
In addition, ten Concert Choir students were selected to perform in the Director's Festival Honor Choir. These students joined several top choir students from other area schools in the subsection to rehearse and perform a concert on the evening of the choir contest. The honor choir participants from LCWM were Gavin, Daniel, Sam, Kalib, Abigail, Kaylie, Madi, Hazel, Grace, and Braylee. Sam and Madi were also selected to be featured for a spoken word solo in one of the pieces.


Social media can be great and not so great. Unfortunately, the individuals who post these links in the comments of the school pages and the LCWM Booster Club page are not legitimate and they are a scam. As a District, we try to delete them as soon as we see them, but it can be too late.

NHS is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, March 22! Please see the attached flyer for additional information!


Last Friday, seven students from LCWM participated in the annual Trig Star competition at South Central College. The Trig Star program is an annual competition that recognizes the best students of trigonometry from schools throughout Minnesota. The Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors, Chapter One, sponsored the event. In our chapter, over 130 students from five area schools participated.



PRESALE tickets for Monday's Boys Basetball game will be available today until 3:30 pm and Monday until 3:00 pm in the District Office! Tickets are also available at the gate at MSU.


Spring sports are starting soon!!


Spanish 3 & 4 got to visit La Plaza Fiesta in Madelia to practice their ordering skills in Spanish (and enjoy a delicious meal!). Thanks to La Plaza Fiesta for always being so welcoming and allowing our students to practice their skills in real world situations!

Welcome our state wrestlers home Sunday!! Nicollet fire department is parading them through Nicollet at 12:00 and then the kids are coming to LCWM high school for their welcome home. Let's celebrate their accomplishments!!!!

Congratulations to these students who participated in the Regional Science Fair Competition on Friday at MSU in Mankato! All of these students will be advancing to the state competition in April!
Mitchel Masters earned a trip to the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and Aidan Moeller earned a trip as an alternate.

Students from the Career Investigations courses and Advanced Foods Course attended CRAVE, a culinary occupational exploration at MSU - Mankato on Friday, Feb 23. They participated in a number of hands-on activities including: making spring rolls, tablescaping, herb identification, learning about sugary drinks and more.
