Part 3: Investing in LCWM's Future

I've shared why the School Board placed an operating levy referendum on the November ballot and explained how school funding works. I'd like to conclude by talking about what makes Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial special and why this conversation matters.
Our district has a long tradition of providing outstanding opportunities for students.
Whether it is academic achievement, fine arts, athletics, career and technical education, student leadership, or extracurricular activities, LCWM offers experiences that help prepare students for success long after graduation.
We also have dedicated teachers, support staff, administrators, and community members who care deeply about our students. Every day they work to create safe schools, meaningful learning experiences, and opportunities for every child to grow.
The proposed operating levy is about helping sustain those opportunities into the future.
It is about maintaining strong educational programs, attracting and retaining high-quality staff, supporting student services, investing in instructional resources, and continuing to provide the experiences our students deserve.
It is also about planning responsibly. School finance requires districts to make decisions years in advance. We cannot wait until a financial challenge becomes a crisis before acting.
One thing I want our community to know is that the School Board remains committed to being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars. Every budget decision is made with careful consideration, and we understand the trust our community places in us.
Between now and Election Day, our commitment is simple: provide factual information, answer questions honestly, and listen to community feedback.
Ultimately, the decision belongs to the voters.
Regardless of the outcome, I want to thank our community for taking the time to learn more about our schools and for the continued support you show our students and staff. Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial is a special place because of the people who call this community home, and it is a privilege to serve as your superintendent.
