The Pay it Forward trip is an opportunity LCWM students have along with Madelia, St. James, and Maple River students. There is a $25 fee to register, but it is returned once you show up on June 8th (to ensure attendance.)
Here are some of our plans for our trip about local immigrants:
Staying at Gustavus Dorms.
Day 1 - Native American visits and sessions, along with visits to stores and sites.
Day 2 - Swedish, German, and Norwegian heritage visiting St. Peter, New Ulm, Mapleton, and Hanska. Curling club visit, Moon Dogs game.
Day 3 - Guatemalan, Mexican, El Salvadorian, and Laotian immigrant discussions. Outdoor service project.
Day 4 - 2 Hr curling class with Olympian in Chaska, and Valleyfair.
