Students in Grades 10, 11, and 12 with a Cummulative GPA of 3.45 or higher will be invited to apply for National Honor Society. Grade Point Averages are calculated after the completion of the first semester (Usually the 3rd week of January). Unlike NJHS, students do not need to have community service hours to apply. They will earn their community service hours after they become members of LCWM NHS.

The application process consists of:

• A Completed Online NHS application (emailed to you by the NHS advisor) which includes:

  • 2 letters of recommendation from School Faculty and/or Staff who are not related to you

  • 1 letter of recommendation from someone who has known you for more than 2 years, but is not related

  • 1 Personal Statement

• Review of applications by the NHS Faculty Council

• Students accepted into NHS will be notified in writing

• Students not accepted into NHS will be notified in writing
