Juniors and Sophomores, in Civics and US History, got to go to the Share the Road Presentation put on by the American Trucker Association here at the school today. During this presentation, the students got to see the blind spots that semis have and hear some helpful hints about driving safely around semis. And now an update from State Speech:
Unfortunately, Ryan did not make it to finals. However, he still had a fantastic season and - as a sophomore - still has two more years with us. We are so proud of Ryan and his achievements. Congrats!
Another thing to celebrate:
The Minnesota Speech Coaches Association (MSCA) has released the names of 127 speech competitors, representing 48 different high schools, who have earned a spot on the 2026 MSCA All-State Speech Team. Senior Captain, Ceiliah Slama, has been named to this prestigious team!
To qualify for All-State, speakers must attain a set of milestones established by the MSCA. Those qualifications include being a senior in high school and documented excellence in competition, including at least one appearance at the MSHSL State Speech Tournament.
Congratulations to Ceiliah on her hard work over her career on the team!

Help send the AcaDec team to nationals in Garden Grove, CA! They are hosting a burger basket fundraiser on Tuesday, April 7 from 4:30-8:30 at the Lakes.

The school board met with middle and high school student council members this morning for their final meeting of the year. Student council members presented ideas, concerns and solutions on several different topics including KASTL time, school culture, hygiene supplies, and general maintenance. They offered suggestions and proposals for new ideas to items they brought up to the school board. It was another great time for the board to collaborate with the students.

This morning high school student council hosted a mental health day during the regularly scheduled KASTL time for 9-12th grade students. Students could choose from activities like a movie, meditation activity, open play in the gym, homework help, or pond laps.

Mr. Colvin's Ag 8 class learned about the ingredients and what each of the ingredients do in a pancake. Today they finished their lesson with creating their own batter and making pancakes of their own. Blueberries, chocolate chips, raspberries and even bacon were some of the added ingredients.

If you are interested in helping out in the main office at the Secondary School please apply today! We are looking for some help through approximately May 4!

The track and field apparel can now be ordered! Athletes should have brought a form home or contact Kelly Moeller to pick one up!
