No School

January 13, 2022

LCWM Parents/Guardians:

LCWM Schools will be closed on Friday, January 14 and Monday, January 17th (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day).  There will be NO evening or weekend activities.

The district has been battling staff illnesses on top of our seasonal illnesses with students since Christmas break.  We are seeing influenza, RSV, stomach bugs, covid, along with a host of other items.  This week we have had an unusually large amount of staff and students out.  At these levels of absences we cannot function effectively in the education of our students.

This will create a four day period of separation by being closed and we will reevaluate the health of everyone.  This will give everyone four full days to be apart.  Please keep in mind we are doing this to separate and hopefully slow down the spread of these illnesses.

If students are sick, they SHOULD NOT attend school or events.  Please continue to report student illnesses to the school as you have always done and keep your students home if they are not feeling well.

Classes will resume Tuesday, January 18th.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this.

Regards,

Mark Westerburg, Superintendent
