Coach Moeller Named Assistant Coach of the Year

Kelly Moeller was named the 2019 Section 2A Girls Cross Country Assistant Coach of the Year at the conclusion of this year’s Section 2A Cross Country Meet. The award was voted on by the 21 participating head coaches in the section. Moeller is in her fourth season as an LCWM / Nicollet Cross Country Coach. She also coached cross country for nine years at Timberview Middle School in Colorado Springs. Moeller was a successful cross country athlete back in the day as she was All-Conference, All-Section and a member of the 1991 LCWM team that placed fifth at state. That team was also Valley Conference Champion and Section 2A Champion. That was the year the meet was moved to Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria due to the Halloween Blizzard! Moeller is the daughter of Mark and Jane Schuck of rural Lake Crystal. She was no stranger to cross country growing up as her dad coached MSU-Mankato Men’s Cross Country for 34 years including winning a National Championship in 1988.
