The Truth About Dinosaurs

The Truth About Dinosaurs by Jim Knable ran for two performances last weekend on November 2nd and 3rd. The show was produced with special arrangements by Playscripts, Inc. under the direction of Caitlin Deckard, the LCWM Secondary Theatre Program Director. This children’s theatre production reveals funny and complex truths about life through three vignettes centering around dinosaurs. The audience learns how dinosaurs can help us understand ourselves, each other, and the world around us, while laughing and singing along with dinosaurs.

The cast included LCWM Secondary students PJ Bartelt, Megan Scott, Alyssa Rice, Amelia Lawver, Morgan Benoit, and Kianna Siebert. Jacie Schultz was the technical designer for lights and sound, and Grace Moeller was the costume designer. The cast and crew also held a sneak peek performance for the LCWM Elementary during school on November 2nd.

The LCWM Secondary Theatre Program is looking forward to competing in this year’s One Act Play Competition through the Minnesota State High School League. Auditions for the OAP production will be open to 7th-12th grade LCWM students at 7:30am and 3:15pm on Tuesday, November 12th.
