Thank you for checking in! We hope you and your loved ones are well and safe in this Stay-At-Home Order for the state of Minnesota. We know you have many questions about things, including your Community Ed. sports programs, art classes, driver's education, and adult classes. We are hoping to use this question and answer section to answer as many of those questions as possible.
1. Has my class/event/program been cancelled?
The most current information on the status of all Community Ed. programs along with ECFE, LCWM Elementary, and LCWM Secondary events is posted on the district's homepage under "News and Information". You can find it here: District Homepage
2. Will I be refunded my registration fee?
At this time, we are only offering refunds for programs that are canceled. We are not offering any refunds for programs that are postponed or unknown. Once a program is canceled, all registrants will receive an email notifying them with the change. The email will contain information on how and when refunds will be made available and issued.
3. Are there any plans for the spring/summer youth sports seasons?
The big question! How long will this affect our ability to do the things we love? The short answer is: When we know, you will know. Most leagues have given us three scenarios: Cut the season in half, postpone/extend, or cancel. In our current status of decisions being made day by day based on the health data for our state, we probably won't know with a lot of time to spare. As soon as we find out the status of a sport/season, we will get the message out. If you have not registered for that program and still want to, we will temporarily open registrations for a small window of time. Expect information on registrations being opened to be delivered via Peachjar and on our Communitiy Ed. Facebook Page.
4. Will Driver's Ed. classes continue to be offered?
Good news! Whether it is as regularly scheduled or via online classroom, we have been given the go-ahead to continue with Driver's Ed. Classroom in June. We have reopened registration for this class and it can be found in the Community Ed. Webstore.
5. What should I do with my jersey/equipment?
Please do not bring any equipment or jerseys to the school at this time. We will do an all call when things slow down. Thank you!
6. How will I hear about future classes/programs/camp offerings?
Continue to watch Peachjar and your emails for digital flyers, along with our Community Ed. Facebook Page.
7. Where can I get my Driver's Ed. Blue Card/White Card?
Currently we are not distributing Driver's Ed. cards as with the Stay-At-Home Order, driving tests are not permitted. We will resume our normal procedures when the order is lifted. Then students will be able to come to the office to pick them up like before. We are not at liberty to mail them.
8. Will there be a summer program guide released?
If we release a summer program guide, it will be digital only and delayed. While we would like to get the information to you, with the unknown ability to schedule dates and programs, and the likelihood that all dates would be subject to change, it does not warrant the cost at this time.
9. Will there be a dance recital?
We are exploring different summer dates to reschedule the dance recital and will get the information out to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, check your communication from Ms. McCall on fun online classes being offered weekly for all LCWM dancers! THANK YOU, Ms. McCall!
