Mr. Tristan Kroll
Welcome to my page! I am Mr. Kroll and I am thrilled to have the opportunity of teaching 6th grade at Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial Secondary school. This will be my first official year teaching as I just recently graduated from Bethany Lutheran college last Spring. I currently live in Mankato as I have for the past four years of college, during which I have become pretty familiair with the surrounding communities. I am looking forward to getting to know the Lake Crystal area even further this year and experiencing everything the community has to offer. I cannot wait to get started and to spend my first year teaching here at LCWM!
I grew up just thirty miles East of Lake Crystal in the small community of Janesville, MN. My family and I lived in a small home out in the country, surrounded by fields and woods in every direction. As a kid I always loved to be outside playing and running around as most kids do. I was really big into sports at a young age, so I was constantly running around and pretending that I was one of my favorite professional athletes. This passion for athletics carried on into high school, as I was a three sport athlete all the way through. I played baseball, basketball, and football, which took up the entire schoolyear and most of my summers. One of my favorite parts about the sports was the opportunity to work with younger kids at camps and clinics. I loved being able to work with these kids and to see the impact that it had on their lives. From these experiences, I found that I wanted to pursue a career where I could work with kids and teach them in any way I could. This was a driving factor in my decision to look for a career in teaching and coaching.
I attended Bethany Lutheran college after graduating high school, where I played on the men's basketball team and majored in elementary education. Playing on the basketball team provided me with knowledge which will help me in my coaching career, while my time spent in the classroom helped prepare me for my teaching career. After graduating from Bethany I accepted the job at LCWM and haven't looked back since. I think this school is a great fit for me to begin both my teaching and coaching careers.
I am very excited to be teaching math and social studies in my first year as they are two of my favorite subjects. I am also looking forward to coaching basketball this year, helping out with the boys varsity team and taking on the C-squad coaching role. This is going to be a great first year, and I cannot wait to see what it brings!
