Mrs. Jackie Slama

Hello. Welcome to Mrs. Slama's webpage.

Introduction

I graduated in 1995 from Faribault High School (FSHS.) Following graduation from FSHS, I completed 4.5 years of post secondary education at Minnesota State University, Mankato receiving two Bachelor of Science degrees: English Teaching and Speech (Public Speaking) Teaching. I later returned to Minnesota State University to earn my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction. I currently reside in Lake Crystal, MN with my husband, Chuck Slama, and our two children: Charlotte (13) and Ceiliah (12).

I take on many roles at the school. I am the Fall and Winter Cheerleading Advisor. I do line judging for Volleyball, as well as participate in their pep band. With my colleagues, I am a Mentor teacher, a PBIS Team member as well as a Digital Coach.

Outside of school, I teach Religious Education at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal. I participate in Girl Scouts with my children.

I am currently teaching all sections of English 9 and Public Speaking. I also teach a Concurrent Enrollment class through Minnesota State University, Mankato - CMST 102. In the past, I also enjoyed teaching World Literature.
