This is my 10th year of teaching at Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial. It will be my sixth year teaching kindergarten grade. Previously I taught first grade. My husband, two sons, daughter, and I live in Lake Crystal.
Previous to teaching in Lake Crystal, I was able to live up in the Northland for five and a half years and fell in love with it. I attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth and did my student teaching in Proctor, MN. While up in Duluth I fell in love with the outdoors and love bringing nature into my classroom. I started a school garden at our school. I have my masters in Differentiated Instruction from Concordia Univeristy, St. Paul.
Here is a picture of my kids and I camping.
One of my other passions is being outside either gardening, hiking, skiing, or on the lake. I try to get the kids outside as much as possible. Here is some of us playing in the snow last year.
One of my passions is traveling. While studying at UMD I was able to take a semester and study abroad in Ireland. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I was able to travel to Italy, Paris, Belgium, and all over Ireland. I also traveled to Spain in highschool. My family also enjoys camping.
